I challenge simplified narratives about human trafficking that overlook coercive control, technology-facilitated exploitation, and experiences that do not fit familiar stereotypes.

My advocacy calls for closer attention to patterns of exploitation, the context surrounding a person’s circumstances, and the barriers that can prevent their experience from being recognized.

My educational work supports a more accurate understanding of trafficking and more informed responses to the people affected by it.

I advocate for survivors to hold meaningful roles in leadership, research, education, technology, and program development.

Survivor-informed work draws on lived experience throughout planning and decision-making. Survivor-led work creates opportunities for survivors to set priorities and direct that work.

Both require respect for survivors’ expertise, autonomy, and professional boundaries.

My work brings attention to survivor identification, trauma-informed responses, and the challenges people encounter after exploitation.

I examine how policies, services, and professional practices account for coercion, individual circumstances, and survivors’ own priorities.

I advocate for changes that improve recognition, respect choice, and create meaningful opportunities for survivors.

Education about digital coercion is a central part of my focus. I examine how technology can be used to monitor someone, control access to accounts, threaten to share private information, or restrict communication—and how these actions can form part of a broader pattern of coercive control.

I educate people about these patterns and their connection to abuse and exploitation. This work connects my advocacy with my continued technical development in cybersecurity and digital investigations, with survivor safety at the center.
